We are delighted to announce that our sporting lunch with rugby legend Mike Tindall MBE raised an impressive £51,000 towards our BE разликата за обжалване на EB.

DEBRA UK celebrated a triumphant lunch with England rugby world-cup winner and British Royal Family member, Mike Tindall MBE on Thursday 27th February in support of those living with EB. Held at the stylish M Restaurant in London, the event began with a drinks reception, followed by a welcome from host Ian Stafford, founder of The Sporting Club and multi-award-winning journalist, author and broadcaster. A delicious three course lunch with wine was then served.

Following lunch, Ian Stafford interviewed DEBRA ambassador, Lucy Beall Lott, who spoke openly about living with EB and the benefits of Ваканционни къщи ДЕБРА. Ian then made an appeal to ‘buy now’ a week in a holiday home for DEBRA members, offering a moment of respite for those affected by butterfly skin. Guests were invited to participate in a live auction and raffle draw, as well as a silent auction.

The lunch concluded in a fascinating interview and Q&A with Mike, with Ian asking the questions.

The funds raised play a crucial role in DEBRA UK’s ‘BE the difference for EB’ appeal, striving to secure £5 million to provide enhanced EB care and support for today, and effective drug treatments for types of EB tomorrow.
